Beating the Spread: College Football Conference Championship games

Conference Championship Previews

It is that time of year again! The most popular Sports betting sites hard work on this Christmas begins this weekend and will continue on until the Super Bowl! The College football season all will come down to this weekend and the matchups look to give us close competitive games. This time of the year has always been full of excitement when the best teams meet and manage close and exciting games – which leads to more interest in the betting and prediction industry.

PAC 12 Championship game Oregon vs Utah(-6)

Date: Friday, December 6

Start Time: 8 p.m. ET

What’s at Stake?

Utah is not a lock to make the Final 4 with a win but they probably should be. The Utes are underrated by almost everybody and a win over Oregon should put them in the playoffs. Them getting a berth will depend on winning this game and probably LSU beating Georgia, if those two things happen they should be in the playoffs.

During the Ute’s eight-game winning streak since a loss at USC, the Utes have outscored opponents 308-76 and held five foes to single digits. Oregon, on the other hand, have given up an average of 41 points per game in their last two outings.

Qb Tyler Huntley and running back Zack Moss will dominate this game and look for the Ute’s to finish this championship off with a dominating blowout win. When they do make the playoffs don’t write them off because this team is good enough to be anybody!

Prediction: Utah 44  Oregon 20

Big 12 Championship Baylor vs Oklahoma(-9)

Game Time: 7:30 ET
Venue: McLane Stadium, Waco, TX
Network: ABC

What’s at stake?

A shot at a playoff berth, it is not a guarantee that the winner gets in but a dominating win for either team gives them a chance to get in.

The way Oklahoma plays offense should neutralize the vaunted Bears pass rush. The biggest question concerning this game will be can Oklahoma play 60 minutes of consistent football? Baylor takes care of the ball and causes turnovers on defense and that is always a recipe for success in big games at any level of football.

Take the Bears and the points in this game. The difference in winning the game will be Jalen Hurts but the Bears will be in this game until the bitter end.

Prediction: Oklahoma 44  Baylor 37

SEC Championship Game Georgia vs LSU

Date: Saturday, December 7

Start Time: 4 p.m. ET

What’s at stake?

The winner is in the playoffs and loser is out? Not so fast! If LSU were to lose a close hard-fought game then you may seem to SEC teams in the Final Four.

My biggest question in this game will be is Kirby Smart going to coach to win the game or is he going to coach to NOT lose the game? The Bulldogs have a big-time defense and a Big-time Quarterback but I think they will be lacking a big-time Head Coach which will ultimately cost them a big game once again.

I think Georgia’s defense is good enough to limit the explosive plays from LSU’s offense but in the end, Joe Burrow will be the difference in this game.

Prediction: LSU 31  Georgia 23
