The Line: North Carolina Tar Heels +6 — Over/Under:
This should be one of the more entertaining games of the week. Lamar Jackson answered any and all questions that anybody may have had about a sophomore slump last week with an amazing performance against Purdue. Louisville is 5-0-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last six games in September and 1-3-1 ATS in their last five road games. The Cardinals are 0-4 ATS in their last four games overall and the over is 4-0 in the Cardinals’ last four games in September.
The Tar Heels lost their season opener to the California Golden Bears 35-30 and the problems came at the QB position. the Tar Heels are 5-2 ATS in the last seven games overall and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games in September. The under is 4-0 in the Tar Heels’ last four games overall and 7-1 in the Heels’ last eight games on grass.

The Line: Iowa State Cyclones +3 — Over/Under:
The Hawkeyes were impressive in a dominating 24-3 win over a good Wyoming Cowboys team. The Hawkeyes are a very physical defensive team and run the ball well on the offensive side of the ball. Iowa 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 17-5 ATS in their last 22 road games.
Iowa State is led by QB Jacob Park and much like the Hawkeyes the Cyclones run the ball at a clip of over 130 yards a game. The Cyclones are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games, 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.

The Line: Michigan State Spartans -7 — Over/Under:
Western Michigan even though they lost Head Coach P.J.Fleck are still a very good team and they proved that last week by giving USC all they could handle for three quarters. The Broncos are 16-5 ATS in their last 21 road games, 5-0 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big Ten and 28-11 ATS in their last 39 games overall.
Michigan State is looking to bounce back from last year’s horrible season. They got going in the right direction with a 35-10 win over Bowling Green last week. The Spartans are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 non-conference games, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games in September and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
College Football: Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 3:30 pm (Bryant-Denny Stadium)
The Line: Alabama Crimson Tide -42.5 — Over/Under:
Alabama as always is loaded on both sides of the ball. Offensively last week they had some problems, but I am sure they will work those problems out. Alabama is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the under is 7-2 in their last 9 home games and 14-6 in their last 20 games on grass.
Fresno State is coming off a 66-0 win over Incarnate Ward in week 1, so that tells us nothing about the Bulldogs. Fresno State is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games against the SEC.
College Football: Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 4:30 pm (Autzen Stadium)
The Line: Oregon Ducks -13 — Over/Under:
The Cornhuskers have a lot of questions entering this season and they didn’t answer many of them in a 43-36 win over Arkansas State last week. The Cornhuskers are 3-0-1 ATS in their last 4 games in September and 14-6 ATS in their last 20 road games.
Oregon is being led by Royce Freeman who was dominant in last week’s win. Can he do it against Nebraska? I think so and I think Oregon could surprise some people this year. The Ducks are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. Big Ten opponents however, just 2-11-1 ATS in their last 14 games overall.
Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 7:00 pm (Memorial Stadium-Columbia)
The Line: Missouri Tigers -2.5 — Over/Under:
South Carolina won a classic over N.C.State last week and look to be a big threat in the SEC.South Carolina is 3-1-1 in their last 5 conference matchups and 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 road games while the under is 19-9-1 in their last 29 games overall.
Missouri started the season off with a 73-42 win, which may raise more questions than it answered. Missouri is 3-9 ATS in their last 12 conference matchups and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 games overall.
Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 7:00 pm (Memorial Stadium-Clemson)
The Line: Clemson Tigers -9 — Over/Under:
Clemson was not tested in week one, but I still think even with the loss of a lot of players that Dabo Swinney will have the Tigers in contention for the playoffs all year. Clemson is 4-0 ATS in their last four non-conference games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games on grass. Clemson is also 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 September games.
Auburn is a carry team on both sides of the ball and they can compete with any team in the country. Auburn 5-1 ATS in their last six non-conference games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games. Auburn is also 10-4 ATS in the last 14 games overall and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games in September.
Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 7:30 pm (Notre Dame Stadium)
The Line: Notre Dame Fighting Irish -6.5 — Over/Under:
Notre Dame beat an average Temple team easily to open the season. Head Coach is rightfully on the hot seat and needs a win here. Notre Dame are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games and the over is 4-1 in Notre Dame last 5 games in September while Notre Dame are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games on fieldturf.
The Georgia Bulldogs played well last week and this team is capable of challenging for an SEC title. Georgia are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games in September and the under is 4-1 in Georgia last 5 games in September while Georgia are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games.
Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 7:30 pm (Ohio Stadium)
The Line: Ohio State Buckeyes -7.5 — Over/Under:
The Buckeyes struggled for three quarters at Indiana before blowing the Hoosiers out. The Buckeyes have a devastating ground game, the questions surround QB J.T.Barrett. The Buckeyes are 10-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games in September, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall.
The Sooners are led by Heisman Trophy candidate Baker Mayfield, the Sooners are in the midst of an impressive winning streak on the road that so far totals 11 games. The Sooners are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games in September, 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games on field turf and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 8:30 pm (Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum)
The Line: USC Trojans -7 — Over/Under:
The Stanford Cardinal are led by one of the best coaches in the country David Shaw and they looked poised to contend for a PAC 12 title. The Cardinal are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games in September and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
USC is explosive on offense led by QB Sam Darnold and RB Ronald Jones, the question will be can their defense hold up? The Trojans are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 conference games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games.
