The Nuggets are one win away from clinching their first-ever world championship. As we have seen, they are simply the deeper, better team.
Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat displayed his scoring prowess in Game 4 with a sensational 25-point performance, it wasn’t near enough as the Heat are now on the brink of elimination. Bam Adebayo made a significant contribution, scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds; Kyle Lowry provided 13 points and seven assists to help lead their efforts for their side.
Seven players checked in, scoring a combined 37 points. Butler continues his effort of carrying the Heat alone, but without much help from role players, it falls short of expectations. Look for Butler and Adebayo to deliver strong performances and keep Game 5 close as the Heat face elimination.
The issue will be how much help they will get? It will have to be significant help from multiple players if the Heat are to extend this series back to Denver.
The Nuggets are poised to win their first-ever NBA title with one more victory needed. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray’s outstanding performances have undoubtedly played a pivotal role in their success; however, Aaron Gordon has also shown tremendous ability during this year’s Finals, showing his valuable contributions.
On Friday night, the Nuggets had three players score over 20 points and five totaling double figures – led by Eric Gordon with 26 and Bruce Brown’s 25 in Game 4. When all cylinders are firing smoothly for them, however, they become almost unstoppable; look for Jokic to have another stellar showing in Game 5 to lead his team towards a victory that should close this series out decisively.
Jokic had to deal with foul trouble in game 4, but it did not matter as all of the Nuggets who played stepped up to help out.
As Game 5 approaches and our Heat vs. Nuggets predictions come into fruition, both teams have the chance to showcase their abilities and secure victory. The Heat are driven by a desire to exceed expectations as underdogs, looking to avoid elimination while recapturing the momentum shown during Game 2. To prolong this series and extend their chances at victory they hope to show resilience on their opponent’s home court by showing a competitive spirit on defense while playing well on offense.
Motivated by their prime opportunity of playing at home with a chance to close out and seal the series and win it all, the Nuggets are determined to continue their winning streak on Monday night, achieve a 4-1 series victory, and keep the championship trophy in Denver. As this series progresses, both teams find themselves at a critical juncture of their championship bids.
The Heat will keep the game closer than the spread for most of the game, but in the end, the Nuggets will pull away in the fourth quarter and cover..
