Sorry, there is not a lot of in-depth analysis here but COVID and exams made it to there is not a whole lot to say this week.
Another week and another loss as the Cornhuskers fell to Kansas State. All indications are that Nebraska will occupy this spot in the basement all season long.
The Nittany Lions had both games cancelled this past week because of COVID.
Rutgers saw their game this week cancelled because of COVID.
At least the Terrapins were not scheduled to play a game this past week. The Terrapins were starting to get on a roll before this week with no scheduled games.
The Hawkeyes played this week and had a solid performance with a double-digit win over Utah State.
The Wolverines blew out Southern Utah this past week, but a lot of questions still surround this edition of Wolverines basketball

Northwestern’s game against Depaul was cancelled due to COVID and it’s a shame because that game could have told us a lot about where the Wildcats stand. Those questions will soon be answered though.
Much like Northwestern a lot of questions surround the Gophers because the schedule has not been very good yet and an easy win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi doesn’t really provide any answers.
The Hoosiers picked up a solid win on a neutral court against a Notre Dame team that was coming off an upset win over the Kentucky Wildcats. The Hoosiers are talented enough to be an upper-tier Big Ten team this season.
The Badgers needed to come from behind to beat Nicholls State, but they were missing Johnny Davis so we will give them a pass.
The competition wasn’t great this past week but the Illini are a talented team capable of making some serious noise in the Big Ten race.
The Spartans are clearly a top-three team in the Big ten at this moment and they very easily could end up Big ten champions when it’s all said and done.
The Buckeyes drop from the number one spot through no fault of their own as a matchup was cancelled with the Kentucky Wildcats because of COVID on Saturday.
Purdue looks like the best team in the Big Ten and they regain the number one spot with a convincing victory over the Butler Bulldogs.
