Preseason is behind us, rosters for all 32 NFL teams are being finalized, fans are excited about their favorite team’s chances this season, and we are knee-deep in fantasy football draft season. A million analysts are out there sharing their insights and player rankings, but I wanted to be different. There won’t be tons of raw numbers, analytics, and advanced stats (as I have sorted through all the chaos so you don’t have to), but you will still get sound guidance for your draft. Let’s dive into my 2024 Fantasy Football Preseason Rankings by checking out the quarterbacks!

Notes
The quarterbacks have been sorted into three tiers: tier one are the players I project to be most likely put up starter level numbers, tier two are the guys who should be considered top backups or QB2 options, and tier three are the rest of the projected week one starters.
Instead of just giving players a numerical value/ranking, I felt this tier system would be a better tool for draft day. Straight up rankings can pigeonhole some managers, and I wanted to emphasize flexibility. While the players are ordered based on personal preference, the idea is that the players will finish with a point total close enough to one another. That way on draft day, you will have a wider range of options to fit specific roles on your team.
In real life football, you want a quarterback who takes care of the ball and wins from the pocket. In fantasy football, all that matters is the raw numbers they produce, and mobile quarterbacks have more opportunities to score more points than their pocket dominant counterparts. That being said, Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy, and
Jared Goff still finished in the top seven players at their position despite not offering much (if anything) as rushers. There’s a lot of quality depth at quarterback this season, so you don’t have to burn an early pick on one, and can find a potential top ten starter later in the draft.
My top sleeper:
Will Levis. The Titans bolstered what was one of – if not
the
worst – offensive lines in football this off-season. They also added
Calvin Ridley and
Tyler Boyd at receiver, and signed a pass catching running back in
Tony Pollard. They are going to pass the ball more than they have in recent years with new head coach Brian Callahan. If Levis stays healthy and takes a step forward in his development, he could push for top ten to twelve status, as he also offers some mobility.
